The mission of the counseling department is to offer effective counseling services to all students in the areas of academic, career, and personal/social development through whole group, small group and individual counseling. In our whole group counseling sessions we concentrate on age appropriate character education. Some of our topics include: Kindness, Friendship, Staying Safe, Responsibility, Career Choices, and Stranger Danger. Teaching children how to handle themselves in social situations or with people who are not kind is discussed frequently.
