I have been a first grade teacher for 21years. However I will begin my 22nd year as a Kindergarten teacher. I am very excited to begin a new learning adventure! I taught my first year at Robinson Springs Elementary, Millbrook.  I have been at Coosada Elementary since it opened its doors in 1998.

I am Jacquelyn Long Thomas, a lifelong resident of Millbrook.  I am married with five beautiful children and 4 grandchildren.  I believe that there is no other profession as important as teaching our most precious resource, children.  As a teacher I have the opportunity to impact childrens lives positively every day.  I devote each day not only to teaching, but helping, comforting, encouraging, motivating and nurturing  my students.  I consider it a privilege and and honor to be able to touch a childs life daily and give back to the youth in a community that I love so much. In my "spare" time I enjoy coaching girls basketball at MMS and attending church at Lake Elam Missionary Baptist, here in Millbrook. I am also an avid Auburn Fan. War Eagle!
