Picking you your child

Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new year at CES! As you are aware each year brings new changes, and this year is no exception. CES will be implementing a new car rider procedure. This procedure is for safety reasons. The procedure is as follows:

  • Each child who is a car rider daily will be issued one car rider tag for you to place in your vehicle.
    • If you desire, you can purchase an extra tag(s) for $2.00.
    • If you lose your tag, the price will be $2.00 for replacements.
    • The tag is not car specific.  You can move it from car-to-car.
  • Parents/Guardians must present these tags to the teacher on the sidewalk.
    • If you have multiple, children please have multiple tags.
    • If you have a friend who is picking up your child, please let the teacher know, but the person must have your child’s car rider tag or a car rider pass.
  • If your child is not a daily car rider, then he/she will receive a car rider pass.
    • Please write the name/phone number of the person who will be picking up your child in the letter sent to the school. (Same rule as buses.  We must have a written letter.  We cannot accept texts, emails, faxes, or over the phone changes.)
    • The person picking up your child must have their ID out so the teacher can quickly release the child to them.
    • This will be similar to bus passes.
  • If you cannot locate your tag, we must verify your identity
    •  Please park in the front parking lot, come into the main office and verify your identity.
    • This applies to all parents. We cannot make any exceptions, even if we know you are the guardian.

We would like to thank you in advance for your understanding with this new procedure. We all want the students to be as safe as possible.  We may encounter unforeseen obstacles with this procedure. We ask for understanding until we work through them. GO MUSTANGS!
