Diane Harper's Bio
I have worked full-time in the Elmore County school system since 1994,
spending 13 years as secretary and registrar at Millbrook Middle Junior High
School before transferring to Coosada Elementary School in 2007. I started
in this school system as a volunteer at Robinson Springs Elementary when my
son started school there in 1985. As my children got older, I began serving
as a substitute teacher at Millbrook Middle Junior High School before being
hired as a full-time secretary in the main office there.

I believe in the Millbrook school system and in the staff and curriculum at
Coosada Elementary School. But most of all, I believe in the students. Every
child has the right to a great education, and I enjoy watching each child
learn and grow. I always make every effort possible to help any child who
comes through my door.

I have lived in Millbrook for 23 years and love the community and the people
who make it a great place to call home. I am very active in Girl Scouts,
having been a troop leader for 20 years. I really enjoy watching these girls
as they grow into young women.

I have been married for 38 years and have two adult children. My oldest,
Daniel, lives in Huntsville and works with NASA. My daughter, Alicia, lives
in Millbrook and works at the Millbrook/Prattville Progess newspapers. However,
it is my 2-year-old grandson who puts the joy into my heart these days.
While I don't like to think about him growing up too fast, I'm confident
that when he starts school in a few years, Coosada Elementary School will
provide him with a great start to his formal education.

I really enjoy being at Coosada Elementary and like it more and more each
day. Please let me know if I can help you or your child in any way.
